Decades after their initial chaotic adventures, Bo Duke and Luke Duke prove they are still the wildest cousins in the Deep South. However, their beloved county is facing a threat far more dangerous than the local sheriff: aggressive corporate gentrification.
A corrupt tech billionaire, played by Danny McBride, arrives in town claiming to be a distant, illegitimate relative of the late Boss Hogg. He has no interest in preserving history. Instead, he plans to bulldoze the entirety of Hazzard to build a futuristic, eco friendly Smart City. His first order of business is strictly outlawing all gas guzzling muscle cars, effectively making the General Lee an illegal contraband vehicle. The Dukes must come out of semi retirement to save their family farm and protect their heritage from being paved over.
Jessica Simpson returns as Daisy Duke, who has evolved from a waitress into a powerhouse business woman. She is now the fierce owner of the famous Boars Nest, ready to defend her home and her family with both wit and grit. Together, the trio hatches a plan to stop the takeover.
The mission involves a desperate, illegal cross county race to deliver a legendary, hidden batch of Grandpappys Secret Shine. This vintage moonshine is valuable enough to save the towns economy, but only if they can get it to the buyer in time. Audiences can expect impossible gravity defying car jumps, the return of dynamite tipped arrows, and a climactic showdown between the roaring V8 engine of the General Lee and a fleet of silent, high speed electric police drones.
