Chiefs Kingdom Mourns Landon Faulkner, Deputy Killed in Line of Duty After Tragic Crash

Posted on April 25, 2026

Chattanooga, TN – April 13, 2026

Tragedy has struck a Tennessee community as a dedicated law enforcement officer, known for his service and unwavering spirit, has lost his life in the line of duty.

What began as a routine response quickly turned into a devastating moment that no department is ever prepared for.

Authorities confirmed that the officer was involved in a serious crash on Highway 111 after colliding with a disabled vehicle in an active travel lane.

Despite emergency efforts and being transported to the hospital, he later succumbed to his injuries.

That officer was Landon Faulkner.

Serving with the Hamilton County Sheriff’s Office since 2022, Faulkner had already built a reputation as a committed and dependable deputy.

Before joining the department, he spent nearly three years serving in Grundy County, continuing a path defined by duty and service to others.

Colleagues describe him as someone who brought energy, pride, and purpose to the badge every single day.

A man who understood what it meant to protect and serve, not just as a job, but as a calling.

“He showed up for people. Every time. That’s what made him special,” one fellow officer shared.

Beyond the uniform, Faulkner was also known for something deeply personal.

He was a loyal and passionate supporter of the Kansas City Chiefs, proudly carrying that identity wherever he went.

Whether it was game day conversations or representing Chiefs Kingdom in his own way, it was a part of who he was.

The loss has sent shockwaves through both his department and the broader community.

As the Tennessee Highway Patrol continues its investigation into the crash, tributes have already begun pouring in, honoring not just the officer, but the man behind the badge.

For his family, fellow deputies, and those who knew him, the grief is immeasurable.

But so is the legacy he leaves behind.

Because in the end, Landon Faulkner was more than a deputy.

He was a protector. A teammate. A son of his community.

And a proud member of Chiefs Kingdom, who carried that same passion into the way he lived and served others.

Rest in peace, Deputy Faulkner. Your watch has ended, but your legacy will never fade.

The Buffalo Bills have finally made the move many were waiting for after major changes at the wide receiver position during the offseason. And once again, their trade partner is the Chicago Bears.

According to draft projections, the Bills are expected to strike a deal with the Bears to move up just one spot on the draft board, with one very clear objective: making sure they can land wide receiver KC Concepcion, the standout playmaker who just finished a breakout season with 9 touchdowns at Texas A&M.

This is not the kind of blockbuster move that dominates headlines, but it is exactly the sort of calculated step that fits Buffalo’s strategic approach.

Rather than taking the risk of waiting and potentially losing their target to another team, the Bills are projected to send back the fifth-round pick they previously received in an earlier deal with Chicago in order to swap positions, move up one spot, and secure the player they want.

It is a minimal price to pay, but one that could deliver an important new piece for the offense.

During the 2025 season, KC Concepcion posted 61 receptions for 919 yards and 9 touchdowns — numbers strong enough to draw serious attention from multiple teams. He is viewed as a polished route runner with strong ball-tracking ability, toughness after the catch, and the kind of competitiveness that allows him to create extra yardage.

While some evaluators see him as a slot receiver, Concepcion actually lined up outside more often during the most recent season. At around 6-foot and nearly 200 pounds, he has the physical profile to challenge cornerbacks on the boundary, making him a versatile option in an NFL offense.

On top of that, he can also contribute on special teams as a punt and kick returner when needed.

As the Bills continue trying to reshape the group of pass-catchers around Josh Allen, adding a young, versatile receiver with touchdown production like Concepcion is viewed as a logical move.

Especially because Buffalo understands that in today’s NFL, you can almost never have too many quality receiving targets.

And that is why, if this trade-up with the Bears does happen on draft day, it may not look massive on the surface.

But it could become a very important step in Buffalo’s plan to rebuild its offense — making sure Josh Allen gets another young, explosive weapon who can help create impact plays for years to come.
